Kupfrian Boat Ramp |
|
|
The boat ramp and surrounding park offer direct access to the North Fork of the St. Lucie River via a short canal. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Will Kupfrian, the entire ramp was replaced with a reinforced concrete pad in 2001. The new boat ramp was dedicated the Kupfrian Boat Ramp at a dedication attended by numerous property owners. We are ever grateful to the Kupfrian's for their generous gift and for their many years of service to the community.
All property owners in NRS are entitled to use the community boat ramp facilities. In order to maintain these facilities, which include the boat ramp, dock, service road and parking area, there is a key fee. Non-member residents also must pay an additional fee equivalent to our annual membership assessment fee. These fees are used to help pay the cost of liability insurance, maintenance and the eventual replacement of the concrete ramp, dock and service road.
The ramp is our jewel and we hope that everyone will obey the attached rules for its use. Boat Ramp Rules - The NRS BOAT RAMP FACILITY at Nosaw Park is a PRIVATELY OWNED FACILITY exclusively for use by North River Shores community property owners.
- Each property owner is eligible to apply for 1 key upon payment of the annual maintenance fee and key fee. Keys are distributed upon request and are exchanged on an intermittent basis. Key exchange dates are printed in advance in THE SCOOP and will also be listed on this website. Proof of NRS property ownership is required. Please have a current Driver's license with NRS address and/or a copy of your current Warranty Deed. In the absence of these proofs, a minimum 72 hour wait will be required for eligibility to be verified. All documents are verified with the Martin Co. Property Appraiser's office. Any discrepancies or submission of false information will require immediate surrender of any issued key and will result in the loss of Resident Ramp Facilities privileges. This may also result in a fine.
- All Ramp Facility users are required to sign a contract agreeing to the terms of use of the Ramp Facility as a condition of receiving a key. PENALTIES for Ramp Facilities damage or use abuse apply.
- Keys are not transferable. The NRS Property Owner assigned the boat ramp key must accompany any guests using the Ramp.
- Key exchange dates are printed in The SCOOP, posted at Ramp and listed on this website. Lost Key Fees apply.
Please call 692-3939 and leave voice mail with any questions you have regarding this procedure. Boat Ramp Facility Do’s and Don’ts - Do take care of your key and our lock. It is your responsibility. Keep it out of the dirt--Hang the open lock on the pole. Your attention to this will help to control the costs you ultimately will pay!
- Do be polite, courteous and helpful while you are loading or unloading your boat.
- Remember to lock the chain after use to prevent unauthorized access.
- Don't give your key to anyone else, resident or not. Keys are not transferable.
- Guests may not use the ramp unless the usage-qualifying NRS property owner is present.
- Don’t lose your key. There is a fee for lost keys. Documentation is also required for replacement.
- Do not park your vehicle or trailer overnight at the Ramp Facilities. It may be towed.
Key Exchange To ensure that only authorized property owners use the ramp, special locks are placed on a chain across the ramp.
For security purposes, the locks are replaced on an intermittent basis. For our scheduled replacements all current key holders will be asked to exchange their keys. This event is typically held at the boat ramp and will be posted on this website, in the SCOOP and in signage about the neighborhood. Lost Keys Homeowners who currently have a key, but have lost it, may obtain a replacement for a fee. Contact the Boat Ramp Chairman at 919-5372 for information or phone 692-3939 and leave a message. Note that only those who have been issued keys may possess them. Giving your key to anyone else could result in permanent forfeiture of boat ramp privileges and any non-property owners will be prosecuted as trespassers.
